RAG HEAD US Tour Spring 2019
Critically acclaimed One Woman show RAG HEAD about Sikhs in post 9-11 America heads on tour in the US Spring 2019. Stay tuned for cities and dates.
“RAG HEAD is a brave piece of theatre that brings levity and joy to it’s topical and tragic themes. Sundeep Morrison navigates her characters with grace and humor, and an accessibility that engages and empowers her audience to walk out out of the theatre and into dialogue with their communities.”
After a critically acclaimed run in Los Angeles at The Complex Hollywood Theater, RAG HEAD will be heading on tour in the US during Spring 2019.
Since 9/11, there has been an alarming increase in hate crimes committed against Sikhs, Muslims and other immigrant communities. With their turbans and long beards, Sikhs are often labeled as terrorists and have become targets in the United States. According to the Sikh Coalition, there are roughly 500,000 Sikhs in the U.S. many of whom have been subject to xenophobic harassment or violence. Inspired by actual events, Sundeep Morrison’s one woman show, RAGHEAD, addresses hate, hope and American identity.
